Meet Dr Ray Sprayberry
Dr. Sprayberry and his wife, Jana, grew up in the Houston area. He graduated Ross S. Sterling High School in Baytown and attended Texas A&M University for undergraduate studies. At Texas A&M, he was named to the dean's list and was a member of Phi Eta Sigma honor society.
From Texas A&M, Dr. Sprayberry was accepted early to dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, which in 1993 was named the premier dental school in the nation. He graduated with honors with his Doctorate in Dental Surgery and was elected to membership in the Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Upon graduation from dental school, he attended the orthodontic program at Indiana University where he was awarded his orthodontic certificate and Master of Science degree. At graduation, Dr. Sprayberry was recognized for his clinical excellence in graduate orthodontics with the J.W. Adams Award.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Texas Dental Association, the San Antonio District Dental Society, and the Boerne Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Sprayberry has been on staff at the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School in San Antonio since 1992, and currently, he is on faculty in the Department of Orthodontics as a Clinical Associate Professor. Ray, Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of '88, is also a member of the Hill Country Aggie Club, Association of Former Students, 12th Man Foundation, and Texas A&M Medical and Dental Society.
Dr. Sprayberry and his wife have two children, Ryan and Sarah. They are active members of the First United Methodist Church, Boerne and the Boerne Emmaus Community as well as involved with the Uganda Tree of Life Ministries. He has served on the board of the Hill Country Aggie Club, Hill Country Family Services and the Boerne Chamber of Commerce, and as an officer of the Sunrise Rotary Club. In his spare time, Dr. Sprayberry enjoys bow hunting, camping with family and friends, antiquing with Jana, attending high school and college sports with Ryan, and trailering Sarah's horse to her many eventing shows.
Dr. Sprayberry and his staff have enjoyed serving the Texas Hill Country since 1992. |
